WAITING
For years locked
in the prison of winter,
you are waiting an afternoon
to be embraced
by the last sun rays,
before you sink
into infinite silence.
The hours around you
started dancing
like in an ancient tragedy
reminding
their absolute dominance
that prevents you
from every thought
of attempting an exit.
Giannis Papageorgiou, Greece
